Yinka Quadri Remembers Ogogo's Final Words with Emotion

On August 26, Yinka Quadri, a veteran Nollywood actor, recounted his poignant final meeting with his longtime friend and colleague, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, who has recently passed away. In a tribute posted on social media, Quadri described visiting Ogogo in the hospital and struggling to contain his tears upon seeing him unwell.

Ogogo noticed Quadri's distress and reassured him, saying, “Yinka, don’t cry. Nothing bad will happen to me.” Quadri responded with “Yes, Amen,” hoping for Ogogo's recovery.

He recalled Ogogo asking for water, drinking it, and claiming he had eaten that morning, which bolstered Quadri's faith. Their friendship spanned over four decades, dating back to 1984, and transcended their professional lives, surviving various rumors and disagreements.

Quadri emphasized that despite assumptions of a rift, they maintained a close bond, often sharing laughter and conversations at public events. He referred to Ogogo as a brother and confidant, likening their relationship to “twins from heaven.”.
