Yinka Quadri and Dele Odule Honor Late Actor Ogogo

Yinka Quadri shared an emotional tribute on Instagram following the death of his friend and colleague Ogogo, who passed away at the age of 66 on August 23, 2026, after a battle with stage-four cancer. Quadri expressed gratitude for the outcome of Ogogo's illness, noting that he did not suffer for long before finding rest.

He recounted their friendship, which began in 1984, emphasizing its depth and resilience despite rumors and misunderstandings. Quadri cherished their shared memories and concluded his tribute with prayers for Ogogo's eternal rest and for strength for his family and loved ones.

Veteran actor Dele Odule also paid tribute, describing Ogogo as a friend and brother of nearly 40 years. Odule praised Ogogo's loyalty, generosity, and his ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.

He highlighted Ogogo's contributions to theatre and Yoruba cinema and concluded with prayers for Ogogo's eternal rest and Al-Jannah Firdaus. Ogogo's burial took place in Ilaro, Ogun State, on August 24, 2026, according to Islamic rites.
