Kogi APC Group Warns Ododo Against Partisan Politics

The Kogi APC group, specifically the Kogi West APC Leader Forum, issued a statement through its coordinator, Hon. Orebiyi Mathew, urging Governor Usman Ododo to avoid dragging traditional rulers into partisan politics.

The forum expressed concerns about Ododo's scheduled meeting with traditional rulers in Kogi West, fearing it could mislead them against the APC candidate for the 2027 Kogi West Senate election, Sundai Steve Karimi. The forum emphasized that traditional rulers should remain neutral and not be coerced for political purposes, as this could incite community violence and escalate political tensions.

They reiterated that Sundai Steve Karimi maintains a beneficial relationship with traditional institutions and that any claims to the contrary are misleading. The forum called for respect for traditional institutions and warned that any attempts to politicize them would be taken seriously.
