IGP Disu Deploys Tactical Teams to Plateau After Attacks

In response to recent deadly attacks in Kawel Community, Musher District, Bokko Local Government Area of Plateau State, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Olutunji Disu has deployed tactical teams to restore peace. The attacks reportedly resulted in the deaths of no fewer than 20 individuals.
The deployment includes additional personnel and operational assets, such as a police mobile force unit, to strengthen security presence in the affected community. During a visit to Bokko on Tuesday, AIG Dankombo Morri, who accompanied the IGP, engaged with local government officials and traditional rulers to coordinate security responses.
The Executive Chairman of Bokko LGA, Hon. Amalau Samuel, welcomed the delegation and commended the swift police response, describing the attacks as tragic and unprovoked. Hajara Yunana, representing the Women Political Initiative in Plateau State, expressed concerns about the impact of the attacks on women and families in the community, urging the police to deploy modern technology to enhance security.
The IGP assured that the police would not relent until the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice.
