INEC Issues Return Certificates to By-Election Winners Across Five States

On Tuesday, Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission convened a formal ceremony in Abuja to distribute Certificates of Return to candidates victorious in recent bye-elections held across numerous states. Prof. Franci Dayo Faduyil and Olaka Nwogu Johnson were among those recognized as beneficiaries in available reports. These bye-elections occurred on June 20, 2026, encompassing five states: Rivers, Enugu, Nasarawa, Ondo, and Kano.
