Nigerian Boxers Urge Anthony Joshua Not to Retire After Fatal Car Crash

Nigerian boxers, including Rasheed Idowu, Sikiru Alimi, and Samson Chukwuka, are encouraging Anthony Joshua not to retire from boxing after a fatal car crash in Nigeria resulted in the deaths of two of his close friends. While former UBO champion Rasheed Idowu believes Joshua will eventually return to the ring to honor his friends' memories, others like Samson Chukwuka suggest that Joshua could consider becoming an ambassador for the sport instead of returning to the ring.

Eddie Hearn, the promoter for Matchroom Boxing, expressed uncertainty about Joshua's future but revealed that the fighter is currently training his mind and focusing on his recovery. Despite rumors of retirement, former opponent Oleksandr Usyk contradicted these claims by stating that Joshua desires to continue fighting.
