NYSC Urges Bauchi Corps Members to Uphold Discipline

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) issued a warning to the 1,700 corps members deployed to Bauchi State, urging them against indiscipline and taking the law into their own hands during their service year. This warning was delivered by the Bauchi State Coordinator of the NYSC, Umoren Kufre, during the swearing-in ceremony for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp.
Kufre emphasized the need for the corps members to uphold values such as patriotism, discipline, loyalty, and obedience to the rules of the scheme, advising them to use proper channels for addressing grievances. The orientation course aims to prepare corps members for the challenges of national service through various activities, including paramilitary drills and skill acquisition.
Kufre commended the corps members for their conduct and assured them of their safety and welfare. Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, represented by Commissioner for Youth and Sports Bashir Yau, encouraged the corps members to contribute to national development through Community Development Service projects.
Justice S.S. Sabo administered the oath to the corps members.
