ATMA to Impound Vehicles for 3 Months for Traffic Violations

Engr. Emeka Okonkwo Konti, the Managing Director of the Anambra State Traffic Management Agency (ATMA), declared a strict policy against driving against traffic in Anambra.

He stated that any vehicle caught violating this rule will be impounded for three months. Konti warned that offenders would not have the option to pay a fine and stressed the importance of road users adhering to traffic regulations.

He expressed gratitude to Gov. Charles Soludo for his reappointment and noted that the agency is committed to rewarding hard work.

Additionally, Konti mentioned an ongoing headcount of staff to identify ghost workers and ensure that ATMA personnel are ready to work. He urged that offenders should not expect to collect money from traffic violations and emphasized the need for a sanitized road environment in Anambra, aiming to eliminate touting among staff.
