DSS Arraigns El-Rufai for Allegedly Tapping NSA's Phone

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arraigned former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai at the Federal High Court in Abuja concerning allegations of phone tapping involving National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu. The case was heard on Thursday, where the prosecution initially presented three counts against El-Rufai, which were later updated to five counts following amendments.

The presiding judge, Joyc Abdulmalik, noted that the court had removed previous charges and replaced them with the new amended counts. During the arraignment, El-Rufai responded to the allegations by pleading not guilty to the five counts filed against him.

The case is currently at an early stage, and the court has not taken further steps beyond the arraignment process.
