El-Rufai Arraigned in Kaduna Federal High Court on Corruption

On Tuesday, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai was arraigned at the Kaduna Federal High Court on allegations of corruption related to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). El-Rufai arrived at the court premises in a Toyota Hilux vehicle, which was held for 25 minutes before he was escorted to the courtroom.

He appeared in a light green babanriga and matching cap, showing an unperturbed demeanor despite the heavy security presence deployed around the court. The security operation formed a protective cordon around the courtroom, allowing journalists to cover the proceedings without barring them from entering the courtroom.

Accompanying El-Rufai were his two wives and his son, Bello El-Rufai, who is a federal lawmaker representing Kaduna North.
