DSS Arrests ESN Commander Linked to Enugu Attacks

The Department of State Services (DSS) apprehended Sabastin Odo Odam, a notorious commander of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), during a coordinated raid in Eha Amufu, Isi Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State. The arrest occurred on a Friday and was part of a security operation that followed months of intelligence gathering regarding violent incidents in the area.

Odam, along with Ejik Daniel, believed to be a member of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is linked to several deadly attacks, including a raid on a police facility that resulted in the deaths of 11 individuals and five policemen between February 26, 2024, and January 26, 2026. Local residents welcomed the arrest, expressing hope for a gradual return to security in the troubled area.

The suspects are currently held by the DSS, and investigations are ongoing, with prosecution expected once the probe concludes.
