DSS Arrests Suspected Eastern Security Network Commander

On Friday, the Department of State Services (DSS) apprehended Sabastin Odo Odam, a suspected commander of the Eastern Security Network, alongside Ejik Daniel, a suspected member of the Indigenous People of Biafra, in Enugu State. The operation took place in the Eha Amufu area of Umuhu, Isi Uzo Local Government Area, following a month of intelligence gathering.

The suspects are alleged to be linked to several violent attacks in the region, which have raised security concerns in the Southeast, including attacks on police formations that resulted in fatalities. Sources indicate that the suspects admitted involvement in multiple attacks and violent crimes.

The arrest is described as a significant breakthrough in ongoing security operations in the region, with residents of Isi Uzo Local Government Area reportedly expressing relief. The suspects are currently in DSS custody and will be arraigned in court once investigations are concluded.
