DSS Arrests Suspected Killers Posing as Patients in Cross River Abduction

The Department of State Services (DSS) has apprehended suspected killers who posed as patients to abduct a doctor in Cross River State. The gang leader, Patrick Essien Etim, and accomplice Bassey Antiha Asuquo were arrested after tracking the kidnap ring.

The suspects confessed to the crime, including the abduction and subsequent killing of the doctor. The incident, which occurred in July 2023, led to protests by the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) in the state.

Another key point is the arrest of Isaac Ekpeyong for vandalizing electrical cables.
