DSS Presents First Witness in Owo Church Attack Case, Court Orders Accelerated Hearing

The Department of State Services (DSS) has begun presenting its case against five men accused of the deadly attack on St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State.

The court in Abuja granted an application for accelerated hearing. The attack, which occurred during a church service, resulted in the death of 40 worshippers and injuries to 100 others.

The first witness, a Catholic priest, testified about the chaotic events during the assault. The prosecution, led by Ayodeji Adedip, recounted the harrowing experience of the worshippers during the attack.
