DStv Announces Exciting Goodies for Subscribers to Mark 30th Anniversary

DStv, Africa's largest pay-TV operator, is set to celebrate its 30th anniversary by providing subscribers with free premium access, decoder discounts, and new content from November 1. The company will offer rewards to loyal subscribers and attract new users through a series of initiatives, including open time weekends with unrestricted access to premium content.

DStv's CEO, Byron du Plessis, highlighted the move to reconnect with former customers and lower entry barriers. Additionally, DStv has secured broadcast rights for France's top-tier Ligue 1 matches through a new partnership with Canal+.

Despite facing challenges like declining subscriptions, DStv is focusing on blending nostalgia with premium European content to enhance its offerings and retain customers. In Ghana, the company plans to implement a price increase across subscription plans to offset economic challenges.
