E-voting Debate Intensifies After Controversial Primaries

The debate surrounding e-voting in Nigeria has gained momentum following controversial party primaries conducted by major political parties, including the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Observers reported chaotic scenes during the primaries, with allegations of arbitrary result allocation and officials skipping vote counts.

This has led to public outrage and criticism from political analysts, including Bode Jame, who described the conduct of the primaries as damaging to public confidence in democracy.
