Ekiti Governor Urges Christians to Emulate Christ's Love

In a statement released on Saturday, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji encouraged Christians to reflect on the essence of Easter, which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He highlighted the importance of Christ’s sacrifice as the greatest act of redemption for mankind and urged Christians to embody virtues such as humility, love, and perseverance.

Oyebanji expressed his wishes for a happy Easter to the people of Ekiti State and Christians worldwide. He emphasized that the Easter period serves as an opportunity for individuals and communities to reassess their relationships and promote harmony and peace.

Additionally, he solicited prayers for the state and the nation, particularly in light of the upcoming governorship elections scheduled for June 20. Oyebanji admonished political aspirants and party leaders to conduct themselves peacefully and prioritize the interests of Ekiti over personal or partisan agendas.
