Senators Call for Peace and Unity This Easter Season

In a statement during the Easter season, Nigerian senators, including Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio, Solomon Adeola, and Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, called on Nigerians to embrace peace, unity, and a renewed commitment to nation-building. They highlighted the significance of Easter as a time for reflection on the values of love, sacrifice, and hope exemplified by Jesus Christ's death and resurrection. Senator Abiru, who chairs the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance, and Financial Institutions, urged Nigerians to strive for peace and harmony, emphasizing the need for mutual respect and coexistence. The senators encouraged citizens to remain steadfast in prayer for the nation and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's ongoing efforts to build a stronger and more prosperous country. They noted that the Easter season presents an opportunity to renew hope and resolve to contribute meaningfully to national development. The senators concluded their message by wishing Christians a happy Easter and reminding all of the importance of working together towards a better future for Nigeria.
