Ebonyi Governor Nwifuru Suspends Commissioners for Poor Performance

Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has suspended two commissioners, Stanlei Mbam and Mr. Obasi, for poor performance that has negatively impacted the execution of government projects. The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Uzor, on Monday.

The suspension is effective immediately and includes directives for the commissioners to hand over government properties, including state-owned vehicles, to the Secretary of the State Government without delay. This action follows increasing public complaints regarding the slow pace and poor execution of several government projects across different parts of Ebonyi State, particularly concerning abandoned road works and delayed infrastructure projects.

Governor Nwifuru emphasized that his administration will not tolerate negligence or failure to meet performance expectations and reaffirmed his commitment to delivering quality projects that will improve the living conditions of the people.
