Ebonyi Governor Nwifuru Recalls Suspended Officials

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State announced the recall of suspended officials during a church service commemorating the 2026 Father’s Day celebration. The only exception to this recall is the Ministry of Land, which remains under investigation.

The governor expressed appreciation for the support of workers towards his administration. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Mondai Uzor Nwifuru, the governor voiced concerns regarding appointees who publicly declared political ambitions without seeking approval, labeling such actions as disrespectful to the Father’s Day message.

He praised the role of men in society, calling them the pillars and backbone of families, and urged citizens to uphold values of integrity, sacrifice, and faith, which he deemed vital for strengthening society. Nwifuru reaffirmed his administration's commitment to improving the welfare of families as part of the people’s charter and encouraged unity, discipline, and moral responsibility among citizens.
