Ebonyi Governor Nwifuru Reinstates Suspended Head Teacher

Governor Franci Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has ordered the immediate reinstatement of Mr. Ilok Hyacinth, the head teacher of Community Primary School, Obulechi, in Ezza North Local Government Area.

This decision follows widespread reactions on social media concerning Mr. Hyacinth's suspension, which had sparked public debate among residents and stakeholders in the education sector.

The announcement was made in a statement issued on Thursday by Mr. Leo Eken Oketa, the governor's special assistant on new media.

Governor Nwifuru emphasized his administration's commitment to the welfare of teachers and pupils, as well as the continuous improvement of learning conditions in public schools across the state. He noted ongoing infrastructural projects affecting the area, including a significant school building project at Community Primary School, Unwuigbok, and Community Primary School, Unwuezeali, as part of broader efforts to strengthen educational infrastructure and create conducive learning environments for pupils in Ebonyi State.
