Ebonyi Governor Rewards D’Tigress Star, Munachi Ejiofor With ₦30 Million, Duplex

Ebonyi State Governor recently rewarded D’Tigress star Munachi Ejiofor with ₦30 million and a duplex for her outstanding performance in the recent game against Cote d'Ivoire. Ejiofor was also inducted into the Ebonyi State Hall of Fame.

The gesture from the governor comes shortly after the Nigerian women's basketball team, led by Ejiofor, received a national honor from President Bola Tinubu. In addition to the national award, Ejiofor was gifted a furnished apartment.

In other sports news, Nigerian Premier Football League side Wikki Tourists confirmed the signing of midfielder Naziru Auwalu on a free transfer from Kano Pillars. Auwalu is expected to be a central figure in the team's midfield setup for the upcoming NPFL campaign.

Wikki Tourists will kick off their season against Plateau United on August 22 in Bauchi.
