Ecobank Deepens Support for Youth Innovation With N20m InnovateX Award

Ecobank Nigeria recently awarded N20 million to six emerging Nigerian innovators at the grand finale of its InnovateX challenge in Lagos. The competition aimed to drive innovation across Africa and equip young innovators with practical tools, mentorship, and market access.

The event brought together 20 finalists in STEM and creative arts fields to pitch their transformative ideas to a panel of experts, investors, and industry leaders. The top three winners in each category received prizes ranging from N1 million to N3 million.

The CEO of Heave Ventures, Abiodun Lawal, highlighted the importance of innovation beyond technology, emphasizing the need for creative solutions to shape the future. The program coincided with International Youth Day and showcased a range of solutions addressing challenges in various industries, demonstrating the wealth of young talent in Nigeria.
