NASENI Launches N250m InnovateNaija Contest to Empower Nigerian Youths in Innovation Drive

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has launched the InnovateNaija contest, a N250 million innovation challenge aimed at empowering Nigerian youth and boosting the innovation ecosystem. The initiative, announced by Khalil Halilu, the Executive Vice Chairman of NASENI, will select 37 innovators from across Nigeria through a nationwide public voting process.

The winners will receive grants to develop their proposed solutions, with the top 15 innovators competing at the NASENI Invention Fest in Abuja in February 2026. The competition aims to showcase the creativity and skills of young Nigerians, fostering tangible solutions and commercial viability, while nurturing innovation through the NASENI Innovation Hub.
