ECOWAS Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Focus on Regional Trade at Lagos Fair

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) commemorated its 50th anniversary at the Lagos International Trade Fair, promoting regional trade and innovation. Key figures like Bola Tinubu and John Owan Enoh were present, along with representatives from various organizations including the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA).

The event highlighted the importance of boosting intra-regional trade and investment to enhance economic integration in West Africa. The ECOWAS Trade and Investment Forum showcased initiatives aimed at strengthening regional value chains and promoting competitiveness.

The fair, organized by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), attracted a significant number of exhibitors and visitors, providing a platform for business networking.
