ADC Accuses APC of Terrorism Amid Edo State Violence

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) issued a strong condemnation regarding a recent gun attack in Edo State, which was described as an assassination attempt targeting Chief John Oyegun, a former governor and current chairman of the ADC's manifesto committee. Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC's spokesperson, accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of exhibiting terrorist behavior through political intimidation against opposition parties.

The ADC highlighted alarming threats made by Edo State Governor Mondai Okpebholo, including inflammatory claims that could escalate tensions and lead to further violence. The ADC emphasized that such actions represent a dangerous pattern of political intimidation across Nigeria, undermining democratic rights.

They also criticized the governor's claims regarding the ADC's alleged involvement in cultism and property demolition threats against opposition members. The ADC warned that any harm to its leaders or supporters would be met with serious consequences, asserting that Nigeria should not be treated as personal property by any political party.
