Edo Police Deploy New DPO to Ekpoma After Deadly Protests

The Edo State Police Command has deployed CSP Tomof Nwabuez as the new Divisional Police Officer (DPO) to Ekpoma, replacing former DPO Nelson Igbinoba. The move comes after deadly protests erupted in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State, triggered by rising insecurity and violence in the region.

The protests escalated into chaos, with hoodlums attacking traders and vandalizing the palace of Zaiki Anthony Abumer II. Edo State Governor has condemned the violence and destruction of property.
