Edo State to Return Disputed Land to Ok Oroama Community

The Edo State government has reiterated its commitment to returning disputed land to the Ok Oroama community located in the Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area. Governor Mondai Okpebholo directed the fast-tracking of the layout process, which is being monitored by a team led by Vincent Uwadia.

During an inspection, Uwadia expressed satisfaction with the progress of the layout work, emphasizing the need for regular monitoring to ensure timely completion. The community head, Pa Gaiu Emokpa, praised the government's efforts to ensure peace and reiterated the community's previous request for the return of their ancestral land.

The governor's administration has also distributed equipment such as tractors to the local government area to assist in the process. The return of the land is part of a promise made during the governor's campaign, which aims to resolve long-standing disputes over land ownership, including the return of 2,950 plots to the community.
