Education is Tinubu’s cornerstone policy — SGF Akume

Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) George Akume reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu's dedication to enhancing the country's education system, emphasizing that education is a fundamental policy of the administration. Akume highlighted Tinubu's successful efforts in returning a missionary school to its rightful owner during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State.

He also introduced the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to provide eligible students with access to loans for higher education. Akume praised religious bodies for their contributions to education, healthcare, and promoting peace and unity.

The Prelate of the Eternal Sacred Order Cherubim and Seraphim (ESOCS) expressed solidarity with Tinubu and pledged to collaborate with the government to achieve national development goals. The visit also included the presentation of a centenary souvenir to commemorate the ESOCS's 100 years of ministry.
