Education Crucial in Combating Banditry, Says Kaduna Leaders

During the unveiling of the Kaduna Christian Academy, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, Defence Minister General Christoph Musa (rtd), and representatives from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) underscored the critical role of education in addressing banditry and terrorism in Nigeria. Governor Sani highlighted the need for educational reforms to improve the quality of education, arguing that education serves as a vital tool in the fight against insecurity.

General Musa stressed that national defense extends beyond military action, emphasizing intelligence gathering and community engagement as essential components. He noted that the success in combating insecurity relies on collaboration with citizens, who are crucial for providing credible intelligence.

Justice Jame Kanyip reiterated the transformative power of education in fostering social development and creating opportunities for children. The event also saw calls for community leaders to maintain high academic standards and encourage civic participation, including voter registration.
