Ikharo Attah Appointed Media Adviser for Education Ministry

On April 28, 2026, the Federal Ministry of Education appointed Ikharo Attah as the special adviser on media communications, as announced by Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa.

This appointment is part of the ministry's efforts to strengthen communication and deepen public engagement within the education sector. The ministry aims to align its strategies with ongoing reforms, particularly in promoting open and effective dissemination of information.

Attah is expected to lead the ministry's media communication strategy, manage media relations, coordinate public communication, and supervise digital and social media activities to ensure consistent messaging. He will also play a critical advisory role in high-level communication strategies and crisis communication efforts to safeguard the ministry's reputation.

With two decades of experience in journalism, Attah has previously held significant roles, including chairman of the FCT Task Force on Traffic Decongestion in 2019 and chair of the FCT Task Force on COVID-19 protocol enforcement in 2020.
