Ikharo Attah Appointed Media Aide to Education Minister

Mr. Ikharo Attah has been appointed as the Special Adviser on Media Communications to the Minister of Education, Dr.

Maruf Tunji Alausa, with the appointment letter dated April 28, 2026. This role is part of the ministry's strategic priorities to strengthen public engagement, enhance transparency, and ensure effective communication regarding key reform initiatives in the education sector.

Mr. Attah's responsibilities will include managing media relations, coordinating public communications, supervising digital and social media engagement, and ensuring consistent messaging across platforms.

Additionally, he will advise on high-level communication strategies to support crisis communication efforts and safeguard the ministry's reputation. Mr.

Attah is a veteran broadcast journalist with two decades of experience in the media industry, having begun his career at DBN Television and currently working with Independent Television. He has held notable public service roles, including serving as Chairman of the FCT Task Force on Traffic Decongestion in 2019 and Chairman of the FCT Task Force on Enforcement of COVID-19 Protocols in 2020.
