EFCC Grills Sujimoto CEO Over ₦5.7bn Enugu Funds Diversion

The EFCC interrogated Sijibomi Ogundele, CEO of Sujimoto Luxury Construction Limited, over allegations of diverting ₦5.7 billion meant for Enugu State Government projects. Ogundele was grilled for hours at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja, with his personal and company accounts frozen, and his international passport seized pending investigations.

The case stems from a contract awarded by Enugu State Government, where only a fraction of the work was reportedly completed despite receiving substantial payments. Authorities froze funds after Ogundele failed to honor multiple invitations, leading to his eventual surrender.

The EFCC is intensifying efforts to uncover the alleged funds diversion and ensure accountability.
