EFCC Transfers Recovered Assets to Education Ministry

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officially handed over recovered assets to the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja, with Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa representing the ministry.

The assets included 501 double-decker bed frames, 939 mattresses, and 12 wooden beds, aimed at improving student welfare and educational infrastructure. This transfer aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's commitment to redirect resources from criminal activities to benefit Nigerian children and youth.

Alausa emphasized that the initiative reflects the administration's determination to reinvest public assets into the education sector, which remains a top priority. The recovered assets will be distributed transparently to schools nationwide.

Additionally, the EFCC chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, noted that the commission's efforts in asset recovery are part of a broader strategy to tackle corruption and support educational development, including the establishment of a Nigerian Education Loan Fund benefiting 1.4 million students.
