EFCC Arrests Abuja Agent for N288m Property Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) apprehended Abuja-based housing agent Hajia Adama Ahm Adamu over allegations of property fraud involving a staggering sum of N288 million. The suspect is accused of obtaining this money from Alhaji Tanko Yawal under the pretext of facilitating the purchase of properties located in Abuja.

Following the payment, Hajia Adamu allegedly failed to provide valid documentation for the properties, which raised suspicions and prompted a formal petition to the EFCC. The suspect reportedly ignored several invitation letters issued by the commission, leading to her eventual arrest.

She was apprehended on March 24, 2026, and will be charged in court upon the conclusion of the investigation process.
