EFCC Arrests Football Agent for N11 Million Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested football agent Osagi Etinosa in Benin for allegedly defrauding Samuel Beke Ohazuruike of N11 million. Etinosa purportedly promised to secure a trial for Ohazuruike with Romanian and Bulgarian clubs but failed to deliver, leading to the loss of the funds.

The EFCC confirmed that the suspect would soon be arraigned in court. In a separate case, the Maiduguri zonal director of the EFCC apprehended Fatima Muham for currency mutilation after a viral TikTok video showed her cleaning a N500 note.

The EFCC stated that investigations are ongoing, and she will be charged in court upon completion of the investigation. The commission continues to monitor financial crimes and enforce relevant laws.
