EFCC Convicts Tamarakuro for Defrauding U.S. NGO

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has successfully prosecuted Dennis Tamarakuro, also known as Keisha Reynolds, for defrauding a U.S. NGO of $71,795.

Tamarakuro pleaded guilty to cybercrime charges, admitting to impersonating a female private investor to perpetrate the fraud. The Federal High Court in Maitama, Abuja, presided over by Justice Emeka Nwite, delivered the judgment following the investigation that revealed Tamarakuro's involvement in the scheme.

The EFCC's efforts led to the recovery of stolen funds and the blocking of related accounts. This conviction underscores the EFCC's commitment to combating financial crimes and ensuring justice for victims of fraudulent activities.
