EFCC Secures Conviction Of Three Internet Fraudsters Arrested At Obasanjo Library

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has secured the conviction of three internet fraudsters who were arrested at the Obasanjo Library. This development comes after four others were convicted for similar crimes at a hotel within the OOPL premises.

The EFCC confirmed that the total number of convicted persons from the sting operation now stands at seven. Justice Deinde Dipeolu, a vacation judge at the Federal High Court in Lagos, handed down the ruling on Monday after the defendants pleaded guilty to the charges.

The convicted individuals, Adenekan Ayinde, Oyatokun Qudus, and Adisa Okikiade, were among the 93 suspected internet fraudsters arrested during an EFCC raid at a pool party organized at the OOPL hotel on August 10, 2025. The court sentenced the three convicted fraudsters to jail terms with the option of fines.
