Egypt to Host 2026 African Beach Volleyball Championships

Egypt has been awarded the hosting rights for the 2026 CAVB Beach Volleyball Continental Senior Championships, set to take place in Alexandria from August 17 to 23. The Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) announced this decision following the successful conclusion of zonal qualifying tournaments.

This championship will feature Africa’s top men’s and women’s beach volleyball teams competing for continental honors and qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. CAVB has invited all qualified National Federations to submit their Entry by Name forms for athletes and team officials to ensure smooth preparations.

According to the competition schedule, participating delegations will arrive in Alexandria on August 17 for the Preliminary Inquiry and Technical Meeting, with matches scheduled from August 18 to 22, and teams departing on August 23. This tournament is significant as it offers athletes the chance to compete for the African title while also taking a crucial step towards Olympic qualification.
