Nigerian Leaders Promote Peace and Tolerance for Eid

During the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, President Bola Tinubu urged Nigerians to embody the lessons of patience and tolerance learned during Ramadan, emphasizing their importance in nation-building. He highlighted the need for collective action to tackle insecurity and restore safety across the country.

Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar III, echoed these sentiments, calling for prayer and love among citizens to ensure peace and progress. Vice President Kashim Shettima also called for unity and proactive measures to address insecurity, particularly during the Eid prayer in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The Chief Imam of Lagos, Alhaji Sulaiman Oluwatoyin Abou Nolla, reminded the Muslim community of the significance of Ramadan and the importance of living virtuously. The Christian Association of Nigeria extended Eid greetings, urging a return to peaceful coexistence.

The leaders collectively emphasized the need for Nigerians to confront challenges together, fostering harmony and resilience in the face of national issues.
