Tinubu Calls for Unity and Peace on Eid-el-Fitr

On Friday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu called on Nigerians to uphold unity, peace, and the enduring values of Ramadan as they celebrated Eid-el-Fitr. Speaking at the Eid prayer held at Dodan Barrack, he expressed gratitude to God for guiding Muslims during Ramadan.

Tinubu highlighted that the holy month promotes sacrifice, compassion, discipline, and love for humanity, urging Nigerians to sustain these virtues beyond the fasting season. He stressed the need for good conduct and support for vulnerable members of society, noting that peace and security in Nigeria require collective responsibility.

The President called on citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by sharing credible information. He also emphasized the importance of respecting the rule of law and working together to protect communities and the nation's interests.

In a sermon, Grand Chief Imam of Lagos State, Sulaimon Abou Nolla, encouraged Muslims to uphold piety, discipline, and good character, which are vital lessons from Ramadan.
