Barau Calls for Support for Tinubu During Eid Prayers

During the Eid-el-Fitr prayers in Abuja, Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau called on Nigerians to demonstrate greater patriotism and support for President Bola Tinubu, emphasizing the impact of global uncertainties on the economy. He stressed the importance of national unity to help the federal government navigate these challenges and achieve its economic reform agenda. Following the prayers, Barau congratulated Muslims worldwide on the successful completion of Ramadan.

In contrast, Julius Abure, the Labour Party chairman, expressed concerns about the persistent economic hardships and political uncertainties that have plagued Nigeria since its return to democratic rule in 1999. He urged for a socio-economic model that prioritizes the welfare of ordinary citizens and highlighted the need for self-discipline and unity among Nigerians.
