Governor Diri Urges Peace-Building on Eid-el-Fitri

On Thursday, Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State hosted a Ramadan dinner to celebrate the end of the month-long fast, congratulating the Muslim community on Eid-el-Fitri. In a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Doubara Atasi, Diri implored Muslim leaders to promote love, unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.

He emphasized that peace is essential for development and urged the Muslim community to exhibit love and peaceful conduct. Diri also acknowledged the importance of peace in achieving progress, stating that without it, people cannot pursue their endeavors.
