Governors Celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, Urge Peace and Unity

On Thursday, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun issued a statement extending warm greetings to the Muslim community in Ogun State, celebrating the completion of Ramadan and the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr. He described Ramadan as a period of deep reflection, self-discipline, and renewed commitment to serving Allah and humanity.

Abiodun commended Muslims for their steadfastness during the 30-day fast and expressed appreciation for their prayers for peace and good governance in Ogun State. He urged the community to uphold virtues such as patience, generosity, and humility beyond Ramadan.

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang also congratulated Muslims on Eid-el-Fitr, calling for the sustenance of values like peace and unity. He acknowledged the role of the Muslim community in promoting coexistence and urged citizens to support government policies aimed at economic growth.

Former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi joined in the celebrations, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect and unity among Nigerians, regardless of religious or ethnic backgrounds.
