Labor Disputes and Whistleblower Retaliation Rock Tinubu-Linked Tax Firm

A tax consulting firm associated with Bola Tinubu, led by Akinsanya Doherti, underwent turmoil with eight staff members sacked and nine suspended on January 30, 2026. Allegations of retaliation against whistleblowers surfaced after concerns were raised in May 2025 regarding staff welfare, favoritism, and corruption within the organization.

Among those dismissed were Kazeem Badmus, a software developer, and Okoro, head of customer service. Joyc, a worker, complained in December 2025 about her contract not being regularized after three years.

Yemi Awa was allegedly sacked due to perceived disloyalty. Comrade Segun Oluwasanmi was reportedly threatened by Doherti during a meeting in December 2025.

Doherti, known for his political connections, including ties to senior government officials, has faced accusations of coercion and preferential treatment within the company.
