ADC Candidate Bejid Promises Issue-Based Campaign in Ekiti

Dare Bejid, the governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ekiti State, has pledged to conduct an issue-based campaign leading up to the June 20 governorship elections. Bejid, a former Nigerian High Commissioner to Canada, announced that his campaign will commence in the first week of April and will focus on addressing the welfare of Ekiti residents.

He criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for alleged hardships inflicted on the populace and expressed confidence that the ADC could win the elections by correcting public perceptions of the current government. Bejid emphasized that the campaign will not involve renting crowds or personal attacks, but will instead focus on explaining the issues and gaps in the current administration's infrastructure development.

He also called for a peaceful atmosphere during the elections and urged the APC to embrace peace, highlighting the need for internal harmony within the party.
