ADC Candidate Bejid Welcomes Defectors, Promises Development

Dare Bejid, the governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the upcoming Ekiti State elections, received 200 new members from various political parties, including the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ikol Ekiti, Ikol Local Government Area on Thursday. Bejid pledged to prioritize infrastructure development and rural advancement to ensure residents live decent lives.

He highlighted the deplorable condition of roads leading to Ikol Ekiti and promised to fix them to facilitate agricultural production and economic development. Bejid's manifesto aims to address the needs of the people, regardless of their political or religious affiliations.

Chief Ayodeji Babatola, the ADC's deputy governorship candidate, assured new members of equal treatment and benefits within the party. Segun Akinwunmi, a former commissioner, noted that the lack of local government autonomy hinders rural development and urged residents to vote for Bejid to accelerate progress in the area.
