Bamidele to Lead Oyebanji's 2026 Re-election Campaign

Opeyemi Bamidele has been appointed as the leader of the re-election campaign for Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, with the election scheduled for June 18, 2026. Bamidele, a senator and chairman of the Ekiti State APC, will head a campaign council comprising 57 high-powered members, including key figures such as Sola Elesin, Oyeniyi Adebayo, and Yemi Adaramodu.

The campaign aims to highlight Oyebanji's governance achievements over the past 40 months, emphasizing the stability and progress in Ekiti State under his leadership. Bamidele expressed gratitude to the party leadership for the opportunity and acknowledged the challenges ahead, committing to collaborate with the Ekiti State APC national secretariat to ensure a seamless re-election process.

He noted that Oyebanji's re-election would serve as a referendum on his performance and the transformative leadership he has provided, which accommodates diverse political and religious interests in the state.
