APC Forms Campaign Council for Ekiti 2026 Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has established a campaign council for the upcoming Ekiti State governorship election set for June 20, 2026. The council will be led by Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, who has been appointed as chairman.

Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, will serve as the vice chairman. The announcement was made through a statement issued on Friday by Ajibola Basiru, the APC National Secretary.

The council comprises prominent party leaders, including governors, ministers, and federal lawmakers, reflecting the party's commitment to retaining control in Ekiti. Notable members include Tajudeen Abba, Femi Gbajabiamila, Hope Uzodimma, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Babagana Zulum, Dapo Abiodun, and others.

The council will also establish strategic subcommittees to manage various aspects of the campaign, including finance, resource mobilization, media, and public security. The APC is preparing for a competitive election, with significant political stakes as it aims to solidify its influence ahead of the 2027 general elections.
