PDP Accuses APC of Vote Trading in Ekiti Election

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the current state of democracy in Nigeria, asserting that it has been reduced to vote trading. This statement was made by PDP spokesperson Sanya Atofari during an interview on Arise Television on Saturday night, following the Ekiti State governorship election that took place on the same day.

Atofari alleged that members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were involved in trading votes, which he claimed undermined the electoral process and violated the Electoral Act. He described the situation as unfortunate, noting that security authorities failed to address these irregularities at the polling units, which he characterized as unchecked abnormalities.
